  • CHANELLE TYE

    Chanelle Tye is a justice-driven educator turned equity strategist, blending classroom savvy with systems-level impact. A former K–12 teacher who’s shaped policy at district, provincial, and institutional levels, she crafts decolonial frameworks, inclusive learning, and advisory work that actually shifts culture. She’s the creative behind thoughtful processes anchored in lived experience, anti-oppression values, and academic research. Whether she’s facilitating difficult conversations around equity or creating tailor-made learning experiences, Chanelle moves with intention, wit, and a quiet fire for change.

    She prefers her weeks four days long, her snacks salty, and her impact measurable.

    Chanelle has a Masters in Equity Studies from Simon Fraser University with a focus on making equity and inclusion training meaningful and sustainable.

  • VICTORIA HAI QUYNH LAM

    Victoria is an equity and inclusion collaborator, programs and operations specialist and an anti-racism advocate. She is a Vietnamese-Chinese-Canadian settler and a lifelong learner. She thrives working with diverse groups to unpack their intersectional identities and to continue the fight against systemic racism and other oppressions.

    Victoria has over ten years of experience facilitating challenging conversations about equity and developing inclusive education programs.

    Victoria completed her Masters in Equity Studies Education at Simon Fraser University, with her thesis on race relations in international service learning programs in higher education institutions. Since then, her life’s work has focussed on creating spaces for equitable and inclusive conversations, workshops, and educational programs.

  • HEATHER KELLEY

    Heather Kelley is an equity and inclusion educator and facilitator with experience and expertise in the areas of antiracism, climate justice and LGBTQ2IAS+ inclusion.

    She has a Masters of Education in Equity Studies from SFU and focused on antiracist education and queer teacher experience.

    Before moving into the role of assistant director of Social Justice at the BCTF, she was a teacher in North Surrey. She has been developing, creating, and facilitating antiracism, LGBTQ2IAS+ workshops, professional development, as well as creating resources, curriculum and lesson plans for the last fifteen years both within and beyond public education.

    She has a deep love of working with adults and creating spaces where vulnerability and connection lead to learning.
